Serwas Technologies is an Innsbruck-based greentech startup that operates decentralised server infrastructure inside buildings with steady heat demand — swimming pools, hotels, care homes and large residential complexes — and sells the computing power to external companies. Its proprietary direct water-cooling technology channels the servers' waste heat into each building's heating and hot-water system, cutting heating costs and CO2 emissions while reusing energy that classic data centres must expensively discard. Founded by Manuel Untergasser, Timo Berkmann and Lucas Bolte, the company runs its first site in an Innsbruck indoor swimming pool and is expanding to further locations.
