Rodinia Generation is a Danish FashionTech company founded in 2017 by designer Trine Young and based in Copenhagen. It has developed a patented on-demand clothing manufacturing system, the O-FACTORY, which combines proprietary software and machinery in automated microfactories that produce garments close to the customer, in the quantities actually sold, with lead times as short as 48 hours; the company says this cuts CO2e by about 40 percent per garment and eliminates water use. Its Copenhagen pilot line has produced for brands including Hummel, Mads Norgaard Copenhagen and Wheat since 2021, and the company is now scaling a network of industrial-scale O-factories in Europe, starting with a commercial-scale facility in Portugal.
