QuantrolOx is a quantum computing software company spun out of the University of Oxford in 2021 and headquartered in Espoo, Finland. Its Quantum EDGE platform applies machine learning to automate the tuning, characterisation and control of quantum computers across different hardware architectures, replacing a slow, expert-dependent process that becomes a bottleneck as systems scale. Co-founded by CEO Vishal Chatrath with Oxford academics Andrew Briggs and Natalia Ares, it also trains quantum operators through its Quantum Edge Academy programme and opened a Berkeley, California office in 2026.
