PIT IN operates battery-swap and energy stations for commercial EVs in South Korea, combining battery-swap subscriptions, membership charging, battery care and vehicle services at a single site. Spun off from Hyundai Motor as an in-house venture in 2023, it runs a flagship station in Anyang serving corporate taxi fleets and is building a much larger second station in Incheon, with Busan and Gwangju sites planned. Under a government battery-ownership-separation pilot, fleet operators subscribe to the battery separately from the vehicle, and the company is developing Station-to-Grid technology so station batteries can also act as grid-connected energy storage.
