Origin is a full-stack physical AI company building general-purpose robots for interior construction. Its flagship robot OG-1 is a modular three-wheeled platform powered by the Construction Action Model, a foundation model developed for construction, and autonomously performs wall-finishing workflows such as applying compound, sanding and priming, with interchangeable tools meant to extend the same hardware to additional trades. Founded in early 2025 by Yogesh Ghaturle, Ashish Daga and Tushar Makkar, the company operates out of San Francisco and Bengaluru, sells access through a robots-as-a-service subscription model to contractors in the US and Europe, and targets 150 robots deployed by the end of 2027.
