NOVUS is a German mobility manufacturer based in Braunschweig that builds the NOVUS One, a full-carbon electric Lightbike positioned between an e-bike, a scooter and a motorcycle. Founded in 2019 by former Volkswagen designer Rene Renger, the company develops and assembles its vehicles in Braunschweig from predominantly European components and began delivering the first production units to customers in Germany and Spain in spring 2026. Backed by lead investor 468 Capital and a network of more than 30 investors from the automotive, consumer and technology worlds, it is developing the higher-volume, lower-priced NOVUS Two and plans a US launch in 2027.
