NoorNation is a Cairo-based climatetech startup that develops and manufactures decentralised solar energy and water systems, including the flagship LifeBox unit for off-grid irrigation, pumping and desalination, at its Abu Rawash factory. Founded in 2021 by Ragy Ramadan and Mohamed Khaled, it has installed around 66 projects totalling roughly 7 MW across 13 Egyptian governorates and also operates in the UAE and Tajikistan, where it supplied solar desalination units to hospitals with UNICEF. The company serves farms, hotels and factories and is rolling out a pay-per-use Solar Irrigation as a Service model for smallholder farmers with partners including Linah Farms and the World Food Programme.
