Nomba

Nomba is a Lagos-based Nigerian fintech founded in 2017 (originally as Kudi.AI) by Yinka Adewale and Pelumi Aboluwarin, providing business banking and payment infrastructure for African businesses: collections via POS terminals, cards and mobile money, multi-currency accounts, and cross-border payment rails. Backed by Y Combinator, it raised a $30 million pre-Series B in 2023 at a valuation above $150 million and today processes over $480 million in monthly cross-border payments, using the Democratic Republic of Congo as its base for settling Africa-Asia trade.
