Nexstrom

Nexstrom is a Singapore-based semiconductor startup building North Star, a wafer-scale platform that grows single-crystal two-dimensional semiconductor materials (transition metal dichalcogenides) directly on 300mm silicon wafers, letting foundries push transistors beyond the scaling limits of silicon. It was founded by Lance Li, who previously led post-silicon electronics research at TSMC, and was incubated by Xora Innovation. Industry partners are already testing its wafer samples, and the company targets equipment readiness for commercial production between 2030 and 2035.
