Neocrop Technologies is a Chilean agricultural biotech startup based in Valdivia that modernizes crop breeding for seed companies and R&D institutions. Using CRISPR gene editing, speed-breeding chambers and its proprietary Neomics Miner gene-selection software, it develops new varieties in four to five years; its flagship high-fiber wheat, created with seed companies Campex Baer and Buck Semillas, carries five to ten times more dietary fiber than conventional wheat while keeping white-flour taste and texture. Its pipeline also covers drought-tolerant wheat, anthracnose-resistant lupin and high-beta-glucan oats, and its high-fiber wheat became the first gene-edited wheat to receive non-GMO regulatory clearance in Chile and Argentina in 2025.
