nanoSkunkWorkX (nSWX) is a Malaysian deep-tech startup that engineers thin-film material interfaces to improve how heat, current and electronic signals move across material boundaries; its lead semiconductor product nSD-I targets copper interconnects in advanced AI chip packaging without requiring changes to existing manufacturing equipment. The same interface-engineering platform is applied to green hydrogen, aiming to reduce reliance on platinum-group metals, and to rapid diagnostics, including a paid joint R&D biosensor programme with the US Navy Naval Medical Research Unit Indo Pacific (NAMRU INDOPAC). Co-founded by CEO Iqbal Shamsul (MIT-trained, ex-Morgan Stanley) and former NASA principal investigator Dr. Amani Salim, the company has launched three product lines, generated first revenue and peer-reviewed semiconductor data, and joined the inaugural SemiconStart Malaysia cohort.
