Molten Salt Solutions (MSS) is a Santa Fe, New Mexico-based producer of enriched stable isotopes for fusion and advanced nuclear reactors, notably high-purity lithium-6 and lithium-7. Founded by isotope-enrichment scientists and entrepreneurs from Los Alamos National Laboratory, it uses proprietary chromatography and separation technology that it says is far more efficient than legacy approaches such as the mercury-based COLEX process. MSS has signed enriched-lithium supply agreements with fusion companies including Type One Energy, Gauss Fusion and Fissionaire, and is scaling from laboratory-validated technology toward pilot-scale domestic production.
