Legato Hearing is a Boston-based hearing technology company that built the world's first AI-powered hearing glasses, Legato Frames, which integrate patented hearing-assistance technology into the arms of eyewear frames rather than a traditional hearing-aid form factor. Founded in 2024 by Bose and EssilorLuxottica veterans Mehul Trivedi and Steve Romine, the company holds four granted patents and more than 20 pending applications, and is targeting the estimated 50 million U.S. adults with hearing loss who have not sought treatment. Legato Frames are set to launch in fall 2026 through the company website and select eye-care providers, priced below traditional hearing aids and often eligible for vision insurance.
