Kasvu Therapeutics is a Helsinki-based biotechnology company founded in 2023 as a spinout of University of Helsinki research into BDNF/TrkB biology. It develops small-molecule positive allosteric modulators of the TrkB receptor, a new class of neuroplastogens designed to deliver the neuroplasticity benefits associated with psychedelics without hallucinogenic 5-HT2A activity, for neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. Its lead candidate KTX-0141 is completing IND/CTA-enabling studies ahead of a planned Phase 1/1b trial in major depressive disorder, with clinical development expected to begin in the second half of 2027.
