Infino AI builds a unified data-retrieval layer for AI agents, combining full-text search, vector search, graph search and SQL in a single engine that runs directly over Apache Parquet files in object storage. It was founded by the creators of OpenSearch and engineering veterans of Amazon, Google and LinkedIn, including Amazon CloudSearch founder Asif Makhani. The core engine is open-sourced under Apache 2.0 while Infino Cloud sells the hosted service, which the company says costs roughly 10x less than traditional search infrastructure; it already serves multi-billion-document workloads in areas such as people search, document processing, product analytics and security.
