hexafarms is a Berlin-based agtech company founded in 2021 that builds an operating system for commercial greenhouse and protected-crop growers, pairing proprietary hardware (wireless sensors, cameras and autonomous scouting robots) with AI software for yield forecasting, environmental sensing and early pest and disease detection. Growers subscribe to the platform while hexafarms designs, deploys and retains ownership of the hardware, capturing climate and root-zone data every five minutes and producing rolling harvest forecasts across crops such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and berries. More than 50 growers in 13 countries, including SanLucar and the grower cooperatives Elo and Royal ZON, run their production on the platform.
