Hemla (HEMLA Group AB) is a Stockholm-based security startup founded in 2024 by Budbee co-founder Fredrik Hamilton and Axel Möller. It builds an AI-driven home security system around a base unit that runs AI locally on a home's existing cameras, sensors, locks and speakers, letting the system tell family from strangers, auto-arm via geofencing and describe in words what it sees, with alarm response handled together with a Swedish alarm-centre partner. Led by CEO Jakob Lyckenvik, the company unveiled its base-unit hardware in 2025 and is backed by investors including Flat Capital, Neptunia Invest and angels Fredrik Hjelm and Johannes Schildt.
