HapWare

HapWare is a Denver-based wearable technology company building ALEYE, a haptic wristband that gives people who are blind, have low vision, or are DeafBlind real-time access to nonverbal communication. Paired with Meta smart glasses or a smartphone camera, the wristband translates facial expressions, gestures, and body language into distinct vibration patterns felt on the wrist. Co-founded by CEO Jack Walters and CTO Dr. Bryan Duarte, the company plans to extend the platform to neurodivergent users and third-party developers through a haptic software development kit.
