Grubel is an AI research lab based in Munich and Tübingen that builds systems able to specialise to individual legal matters. Its platform automates a specialisation loop that discovers and curates matter-specific data, adapts models and agents at test time, and continually evaluates output against standards derived from the matter itself. Founded in 2026 by machine-learning researchers Moritz Hardt and Reinhard Heckel, the lab targets complex legal work, including sovereign open-weight and locally deployed setups.
