Ground A is a German defence-technology startup building the GA 1000, an integrated counter-drone system that detects, tracks and neutralises small drones with a high-energy laser guided by AI-driven targeting. The Euro-pallet-sized unit is portable by four people and designed to integrate with NATO command-and-control systems, protecting military units, critical infrastructure and public events. Founded in early 2026 by Tobias Brune, Daniel Hariri and Roland Spiegelhalder, the company moved from prototype to testing within seven months and plans serial production from 2027.
