Fab2, formerly Atomic Semi, is a semiconductor manufacturing startup building a "fab fab" — a factory that mass-produces small, software-defined chip fabs and every tool inside them, from pumps, valves and vacuum chambers to lithography, paired with its in-browser collaborative Studio EDA. Founded in 2022 by chip architect Jim Keller and DIY chipmaker Sam Zeloof, it operates a chip fab in Austin and a fab fab in Lockhart, Texas, plus the original garage fab in San Francisco, targeting hour-scale chip prototyping rather than high-volume wafer production.
