Its flagship product, melAInoma, analyzes retinal images captured during a routine eye exam to flag suspected uveal melanoma, a rare and often-fatal eye cancer, cutting unnecessary specialist referrals by roughly 90%. Founded in 2025 by ocular oncologist Gustav Stalhammar (St. Erik Eye Hospital, Karolinska Institutet), CEO Mats Holmstrom (ex-RaySearch Laboratories), and COO Per Ininbergs, the company is piloting the tool with Swedish optician network Synologen ahead of CE-MDR clinical approval.
