Entity Secures €5 Million in Seed Funding

Dublin-based gaming distribution startup Entity has raised €5 million in a Seed round led by Delta Partners. The investment will support the development of its browser-first platform that delivers console-quality video games without downloads, using WebGPU and WebAssembly.

Founded in 2024, Entity is building a platform that aims to bring high-end gaming experiences directly to web browsers, eliminating the need for large downloads or installations. The technology leverages modern web standards to achieve performance comparable to traditional consoles.

The founding team brings significant industry experience, having previously built Digit (acquired by Scopely) and Chilli Connect (acquired by Unity). This track record of successful exits adds credibility to Entity's ambitious plans.

The company plans to launch its new-web gaming platform in 2027. The funding will be used to accelerate development and prepare for the platform's debut.

In addition to lead investor Delta Partners, the round included participation from Enterprise Ireland, Elkstone, and Act Venture Capital. The involvement of these investors highlights confidence in Entity's vision and team.

Entity's approach could reshape how games are distributed and played, making high-quality gaming more accessible to a broader audience. With the backing of experienced investors, the company is well-positioned to execute its plans.
