Eka Robotics is a Cambridge, MA robotics startup building general-purpose robot arms powered by a Vision-Force-Action (VFA) foundation model, which learns dexterous manipulation through large-scale reinforcement learning in physics simulation rather than from human demonstrations. Founded by MIT professor Pulkit Agrawal and former Google DeepMind researcher Tuomas Haarnoja, the company targets contact-rich industrial tasks such as pick-and-place and wire handling, where it says its robots already operate at roughly 2.5 times human picking speed with more than 95% reliability.
