E-Plato is an Italian AI startup founded in 2021 in Parma by Karandip Singh and accelerated by B4i (Bocconi for Innovation), now with its registered office in Milan. Its platform Socrate is a deterministic AI reasoning engine for industrial plant maintenance: it ingests electrical schematics, PLC code and technical documentation, including legacy paper scans, into queryable knowledge graphs whose auditable reasoning chains help maintenance teams trace the root cause of machine faults in seconds. Socrate deploys on-premise or air-gapped for data-sensitive industries such as cranes, rail, defense, packaging and industrial automation, with industrial references including Fassi Gru, Trenord and SACMI. Backers include Smart Capital, S2Capital (smeup), DFF Ventures, MITO Tech Ventures and Vento Ventures.
