DermaSensor Inc. is a Miami-based medical device company whose technology was originally developed at Boston University. Its handheld device combines Elastic Scattering Spectroscopy (ESS) with AI to deliver an immediate, objective skin-cancer risk result for suspicious lesions in primary care, and is FDA-cleared (Class II De Novo, 2024) and CE-marked (Class IIb, 2026). Since its 2024 commercial launch the device has been adopted by hundreds of US healthcare provider organizations and used to scan more than 45,000 suspicious lesions.
