Covenant Industries is a Washington, D.C.-headquartered defense technology startup founded in 2024 by Israeli-American entrepreneur Michael Kaufman. It builds Anthem, a long-range, heavy-payload cruise missile designed to be mass-produced at a fraction of the cost of legacy systems, and has raised over $250 million across three rounds from Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, Lux, 8VC, Aleph and Lightspeed. Production is set up across facilities in Dallas (Texas), Saxony (Germany) and northern Israel, with serial production planned from Q1 2027 ramping toward 5,000 units a year.
