Bluecore Energy is a Long Beach, California-based startup building small modular nuclear reactors mounted on floating barges to deliver portable, zero-emission power to ports, data centers, and coastal grids. Founded by former Uber Freight executive Kofi Asante, the company emerged from stealth in July 2026 with a $10M pre-seed led by Slauson & Co., having already secured a port terminal, barge, and test reactor pressure vessel at its Port of Long Beach base.
