barq is a Riyadh-based fintech licensed by the Saudi Central Bank, founded in 2023 by Ahmed Alenazi, former CEO of STC Pay. Its consumer app combines a digital wallet with international remittances, physical and virtual cards, travel insurance and subscription-management features. Roughly two years after its 2024 launch, barq reports more than 15 million users across over 210 nationalities and more than SAR 440 billion in funds processed, ranking among the fastest-growing fintechs in Saudi Arabia and the region.
