AugustLab is a South Korean music-technology startup that builds smart instruments and an AI-powered learning platform. A 2022 spin-off from the Samsung Electronics C-Lab internal venture programme, the company pairs its smart guitars with an app that analyses any song the user wants to play - including AI-generated tracks or YouTube music - auto-generates personalised lessons, and uses instrument sensors to deliver real-time feedback on tempo, pitch and fingering. Its flagship PEOZ system has reached about 7,000 units sold with cumulative revenue of roughly KRW 2.35 billion, backed by distribution deals in Japan and Thailand.
