ArmorCheck develops passive sensors embedded in ceramic ballistic-protection plates at the time of manufacturing, letting forces check plate integrity in seconds in the field with a dedicated RFID reader instead of centralized X-ray inspection. Founded in August 2025 and based in Caudan near Lorient, France, the deeptech serves armed forces, internal security units and armor manufacturers, and its technology has been validated by France's DGA with an operational experiment underway with the Ministry of the Interior. The system is at TRL 8 and tracks each plate's usage history to support maintenance and fleet decisions.
