Aqua is a New York fintech founded in 2021 by Rohan Marwaha (previously at Blackstone) and Dev Patel (previously on Bank of America's capital-markets technology team). It builds an AI-native turnkey alternative investment platform (TAIP) that unifies fund creation, investment lifecycle management, marketplace access, document intelligence and investor servicing, letting wealth managers, RIAs, banks, trust companies and fund sponsors run alternatives programs without disconnected portals and spreadsheets. The platform is used by roughly 8,000 advisory professionals serving about 170,000 wealth-management clients, with customers including DAI Securities, Arkadios Capital, Concorde Investment Services, Independent Financial Group, Cantor Fitzgerald and T. Rowe Price. Aqua raised a $3.8M seed backed by Gradient (Google's AI fund) and Y Combinator before its $15M Series A led by Arthur Ventures with Alumni Ventures.
