American Advanced Materials (AAM) is an AI-native advanced materials company that manufactures essential inputs for the AI, energy and defense supply chains, starting with titanium sponge and zirconium products such as zirconium oxychloride. Combining process knowledge with modern engineering, AI and robotics automation, AAM restores the midstream manufacturing layer between upstream mineral mining and downstream end-product fabrication for domestic melters and alloy makers serving the aerospace, AI infrastructure, defense and energy sectors. The company was founded by veterans of Tesla, ATI, TIMET and Westinghouse who previously built and operated large-scale titanium sponge and zirconium plants, and is led by co-founder and CEO Alex Liegl from Mountain View, CA with a presence in New York City.
