altM is a Bengaluru-based deep-tech cleantech startup that converts agricultural residue such as crop stubble into specialty chemicals and bio-based ingredient materials for industrial value chains including cosmetics and paints. Founded in 2022, it raised a $3.5M seed in 2023 from Theia Ventures and Thai Wah Ventures, and in November 2026 closed a $10.3M Series A led by Rainmatter (by Zerodha) and Mela Ventures to scale a 1,000-tonne manufacturing plant targeted for 2028.
