Alta is an AI styling platform founded by CEO Jenny Wang, built around a digital closet inspired by the film Clueless: users upload their wardrobe and the app generates personalized outfits on a virtual avatar, with shopping suggestions integrated. Beyond the consumer app, Alta sells enterprise styling and rendering services to fashion brands and retailers, powered by a dozen in-house AI models that learn fashion at the item and outfit level. It powers all AI within the Rent the Runway app and has run integrations with brands including Gap and Zimmermann.
