Allogenetics is a Hanover-based biotechnology company developing a one-time ex vivo gene therapy that modifies donor organs so the recipient's immune system no longer recognises them as foreign. Its lead program ALG-115 calibrates MHC class I and II antigen presentation on the graft and has shown eight-year survival without immunosuppressants in a pig model of lung transplantation. The company is advancing the organ-agnostic platform toward first-in-human trials in lung transplantation, with kidney, heart and liver programs in earlier stages.
