Aleph Surgical (Aleph Nought) is building fully autonomous surgical robots powered by embodied foundation models, paired with a purpose-built robot called Mark 0. Its system is designed to be a surgeon that scales - acquiring, refining and transferring surgical skills across procedures - to address the scarcity and cost of surgical expertise. In a March 2026 research preview, its model performed vascular anastomosis autonomously. The company was founded by brothers Dylan McGuire, a former Palantir forward-deployed software engineer, and Ryan McGuire, a UC Berkeley graduate.
