Airbility (에어빌리티) is a South Korean deep-tech aviation and defense startup founded in November 2023 by engineers from the Agency for Defense Development who worked on Korea's KT-1, T-50 and KF-21 aircraft programs, together with alumni of Hyundai Motor and LG Electronics. It builds high-speed eVTOL unmanned aircraft — including the commercialized 4 kg-class AB-U4 and the AB-U60 mothership exceeding 200 km/h — and an AI-powered air-to-air hard-kill counter-drone (C-UAS) platform, designing its own battery packs and flight-control software to reduce reliance on Chinese components. The company completed transition flights with three prototypes in late 2025, was selected for the Korea AeroSpace Administration's 2026 Scale-up TIPS program with 3 billion won in R&D funding, and targets 50 billion won in cumulative revenue by 2028.
