Ahbstra is a London-based climate technology company that builds atmospheric water generators powered by metal-organic framework (MOF) chemistry, the Nobel Prize-winning materials science. Its first commercial product, the Ahbstra ARK, extracts up to 500 litres of drinking water per day from ambient air, including in very dry climates, and targets off-grid homes and residential developments facing water scarcity, particularly in Southern Europe. Founded in 2019 by Hashem Arouzi, the company is also extending its core MOF engineering toward large-scale carbon capture and has been featured by the Financial Times and the BBC.
