Aeon is a Nigerian cybersecurity startup building sovereign cyber defense infrastructure for Africa and the Global South. Its two products — Aeon Console, a platform consolidating risk detection, vulnerability management, policy enforcement and compliance reporting, and Aeon Edge, a device that secures customer networks at the perimeter — give banks, cloud service providers and critical infrastructure operators a single view of their exposure across code, cloud and endpoints. Founded in 2026 by Samuel Ogbonyomi, Ben Eluan and Alex Idowu out of cloud infrastructure management platform PipeOps, the company runs pilots with Nigerian financial institutions and cloud infrastructure companies and partners with defence company Terra Industries through a commercial joint venture.
