AEMS Corp is a Denver, Colorado-based formulation engineering company founded in 2019 by Scott Compel and Alexander Hendricks out of a Colorado State University materials-science discovery. It solves viscosity problems in high-concentration biologic drugs, including siRNA and subcutaneous injectables, using an automated microscale screening platform that runs 600+ experiments per week on as little as 20 microliters of formulation. Originally an agricultural technology startup selling an organic seed sanitizer, it pivoted into pharmaceutical formulation services and became the first startup based at the CSU Spur campus before moving to larger labs in Fort Collins.
