Abwab.ai is a Riyadh-based fintech founded in 2023 that builds AI-powered credit infrastructure for banks and lenders financing small and medium-sized businesses. Rather than lending from its own balance sheet, it sits underneath financial institutions, combining bank statements, VAT records and credit bureau data to automate loan origination, underwriting, portfolio monitoring and embedded financing. Its technology is used by more than 13 financial institutions, including Saudi SME Bank, Lendo and Hala Financing, and has processed over SAR 1 billion in SME loans.
