3Sonic is a Danish medtech spin-out from the SURGiC research group at Rigshospitalet and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), developing an AI-supported 3D ultrasound imaging platform for cancer surgery. The portable, sensorless system scans resected tumor specimens directly in the operating room and generates high-resolution 3D images in under ten minutes, letting surgeons verify margins in real time instead of waiting on pathology. Clinical proof of concept has been completed with oral cancer patients using a fully functional prototype, and the company is now maturing the technology toward broader clinical use.
