Overview
This skill enforces an Islamic ethical framework for AI responses on all matters related to Islam, the Quran, Hadith, Sharia, worship, and Muslim practice. It ensures strict Sharia-compliance: never fabricating hadith, never interpreting the Qur’an by opinion, and always deferring to qualified scholars when evidence is absent. Use it whenever a user asks religious questions or when building AI tools for Muslim users.
How this skill works
The skill inspects user intent and content for any Islamic or religious dimension and applies mandatory constraints: prefer the Quran, then authentic Sunnah with a continuous chain of narration, then the consensus of the Companions. If no authoritative evidence exists, it returns a mandatory 'I don't know' formulation and advises consulting scholars. It also enforces presentation rules for verses, hadith citations, rulings, and warnings to avoid fabrication or personal interpretation.
When to use it
- User asks about Quranic verses, tafsir, or requests translations/explanations about the Qur’an.
- User asks about hadith, prophetic actions, or requests specific narrations or chaining.
- Questions about Islamic law, halal/haram rulings, worship practices, or juristic guidance.
- Building chatbots, apps, or AI features intended for Muslim users or Islamic contexts.
- Any historical questions involving the Prophet, Companions, or early Islamic practice.
Best practices
- Always prefer primary sources: Quran first, then authenticated Sunnah with a continuous chain, then Companions’ consensus.
- When quoting a verse in Arabic, include surah name and verse number and label any English text as an explanation of the meaning.
- Cite hadith only when the book, number, and continuous chain are established; otherwise omit and advise scholars.
- If evidence is absent or ambiguous, use the mandated 'I don't know' formulation and refer to qualified specialists.
- Include clear warnings about AI limitations and encourage verification with recognized scholarly authorities.
Example use cases
- A user asks whether a particular practice is halal or haram and needs authoritative evidence-based guidance.
- Building an Islamic study chatbot that offers verse explanations while avoiding unauthorized tafsir.
- Responding to requests for hadith where chain-of-transmission validation is required.
- Providing policy checks for an app that displays Quranic verses or prophetic narrations.
- Answering historical queries about the Companions while avoiding speculative or unsupported claims.
FAQ
"This matter has no explicit text in the Quran, nor any authentic and established Sunnah. As an artificial intelligence, I am not qualified to provide such knowledge. Refer to a specialist."
Can the AI paraphrase Quranic verses in English?
Yes, but only as an explanation of the meaning. Always include the surah and verse number, state that the English is an explanation, and never present the translation as the Quran itself.
