Overview

This skill manages voice memos by saving transcriptions, generating concise summaries, extracting topics, decisions, and action items, and enabling keyword search and recent-memo listings. It automates daily memo threads and nightly reminders to help teams keep notes organized and actionable. The skill is built for quick recording, retrieval, and follow-up planning.

How this skill works

When you submit a transcription, the skill analyzes the text to produce a 2–3 sentence summary, up to five related topics, any explicit decisions, and action items formatted as who/what/by-when. The add command records these fields and returns a human-friendly confirmation including summary, decisions, action items, and tags. You can search by keyword, list recent memos filtered by days, and count memos for a specific date. It also creates a daily memo thread each morning and sends reminders at night if memos are missing.

When to use it

  • After meetings to save and summarize verbal notes quickly.
  • When you need to extract decisions and assignable action items from transcriptions.
  • To search past memos by topic, keyword, or tag.
  • To review recent memos from the last N days for status checks.
  • To maintain a daily thread of meeting notes and get reminders for missing entries.

Best practices

  • Submit clean transcriptions or clear speaker-separated text for better summaries.
  • Include speaker names when assigning action items to ensure clear ownership.
  • Keep each memo focused on a single meeting or topic to improve keyword relevance.
  • Use the topics field (up to five comma-separated tags) for faster searching later.
  • Review nightly reminders promptly to avoid lost follow-ups.

Example use cases

  • Add a meeting transcription and get a 2–3 sentence summary, decisions list, and action-item assignments.
  • Search memos for ‘roadmap’ to find past product decisions and related action items.
  • List memos from the last 7 days to prepare a weekly status update.
  • Count memos on a specific date to measure meeting volume or activity.
  • Receive a morning thread with that day’s memo space and a nightly reminder if nothing was recorded.

FAQ

The skill extracts a short summary, up to five topics, decisions (if any), and action items formatted as who/what/by-when.

How do reminders and daily threads work?

A daily memo thread is created each morning at 08:00. If no memos are recorded by 21:00, an automated reminder is sent.
