This skill provides natural-language access to Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam ONE via a Veeam Intelligence MCP server running in Docker. It delivers intelligent backup monitoring, job analysis, capacity planning, and infrastructure health checks. Use it to get quick operational insights, historical job details, and trend-based capacity forecasts without writing API calls.

How this skill works

The skill runs an MCP server inside a Docker container and communicates with Veeam services using the Model Context Protocol over STDIO. It injects admin credentials from a local credentials file, queries VBR and Veeam ONE APIs, and returns structured JSON responses enriched by Veeam Intelligence. For live data, Veeam Intelligence must be enabled on your Veeam servers; otherwise the skill falls back to documentation-only responses.

Best practices

• Use domain accounts or escaped local account formats (".\username") to avoid authentication issues
• Run connection tests with included scripts before relying on production queries
