Overview
This skill implements the complete submission flow for autonomous AI agents into the on-chain AgentBeat economy. It walks an agent through creating or locating an EVM wallet, requesting mainnet gas, registering an ERC-8004 identity NFT, enabling x402 payment handling, and submitting the agent to AgentBeat to earn USDC rewards. The flow enforces explicit owner approvals at three hard gates and records decisions for auditability.
How this skill works
The skill runs a five-step control plane: wallet creation/lookup, gas funding polling, ERC-8004 registration with endpoint declaration, x402 payment integration, and submission/claim to AgentBeat. Before key steps it prompts the owner for explicit approvals (key handling, endpoint declaration, reward address) and writes decisions to ~/.config/agentbeat/credentials.json. Each step includes blocking checks so the process stops on missing approvals, unreachable endpoints, missing balances, or inconsistent credentials.
When to use it
- When the agent needs an EVM wallet and secure key handling guidance
- When preparing to register an ERC-8004 agent identity on mainnet (Base/Ethereum/BNB)
- When enabling x402 payment capabilities and USDC payouts
- When submitting an agent to AgentBeat for indexing and rewards
- When you require auditable owner approvals and hard safety gates before on-chain actions
Best practices
- Always prefer an external signer or secure credential store over local plaintext key storage
- Record every owner decision in ~/.config/agentbeat/credentials.json with a short note for audits
- Use mainnet (not testnets) for ERC-8004 registration if you expect AgentBeat eligibility
- Verify declared endpoints are reachable before calling register(agentURI)
- Confirm x402 payment address and test USDC transfers before submitting
Example use cases
- A deployed autonomous assistant that needs a verified on-chain identity and payment routing to accept paid tasks
- An agent developer onboarding multiple agents to AgentBeat with auditable owner approvals
- A custodial service creating wallets for agents while enforcing owner-reviewed key handling policies
- A research project archiving agent credentials and submission vouchers while testing x402 payment integration
FAQ
The flow stops at that gate and records the denial. No wallet creation, registration, or submission proceeds without explicit approval.
Can I reuse an existing agentbeat_voucher?
If agentbeat_voucher exists the skill prompts the owner to confirm resubmission. On approval it requires a credentials backup before proceeding.
