Overview

This skill teaches core A-share investing concepts and indicators in a structured, reviewable way. It explains terms like PE, PB, ROE, cash flow, sector and policy terminology, and converts scattered questions into a concise study system. Notes are appended to a persistent glossary file for ongoing learning.

How this skill works

You provide one or more concepts, optional context (scene, sentence, or link), and a desired level (beginner or intermediate). For each concept the skill returns a one-sentence definition, A-share specific interpretation and common mouth-to-mouth differences in data sources, at least one typical beginner mistake, 2–5 related metrics or next steps, and optionally a simple numeric example. Results are appended to notes/stocks/glossary.md under the concept heading without duplicating existing content.

When to use it

  • You want a concise, A-share–specific explanation of a financial term.
  • You need to convert scattered questions into a studyable glossary entry.
  • You are preparing to read a Chinese company report and need clarification on metric口径 (calculation basis).
  • You want quick checks of common beginner pitfalls before making analysis.
  • You need related indicators and practical next steps to continue research.

Best practices

  • Always supply context or the exact sentence/link when the term appears in reports or news.
  • Specify the desired level: beginner for high-level guidance, intermediate for technical口径 differences.
  • When discussing ratios, indicate the intended口径 (TTM, static, report period) to avoid ambiguity.
  • Use the appended notes file as the canonical study resource and avoid re-requesting already covered items.
  • Expect no buy/sell recommendations; focus on understanding metrics and data limitations.

Example use cases

  • Input: concept=['PE','ROE'], level='beginner' → receive definitions, A-share tips, missteps, related metrics, and small numeric examples.
  • Clarify a phrase from a broker report by sending the phrase in context to get the correct口径 and interpretation.
  • Turn a list of >10 scattered questions into organized glossary entries appended into notes/stocks/glossary.md.
  • Ask for intermediate-level note additions that explain reporting differences (consolidated vs parent company).
  • Request follow-up metrics to examine after seeing a high PE (e.g., growth, margin, cash flow).

FAQ

The skill will ask you to provide a concept and give an example input such as {"concept": "市盈率PE"}.

Will this give buy or sell advice?

No. The skill does not provide trading recommendations or promise returns; it focuses on education and data interpretation.

What if the口径 is unclear in a report?

The skill will flag the ambiguity and request the desired口径 (e.g., TTM, static, or specific report period) before a definitive interpretation.
